Some people may not know what a prayer letter is so let me explain. Missionaries are sent to a foreign field where they live and work for the Lord. They live in different surroundings and in very different circumstances. People back home usually have little idea of what is going on in the missionaries lives and what is happening in the work that they are doing.
It would take forever to write letters to all of the family, friends, people they meet, churches where they have presented their ministry in and others who may be interested in their work. So, we have one letter that tells what is going on in our ministry and in our personal lives. In that letter we request people to pray about situations and matters of importance. Whenever possible we try to include pictures of people and parts of the ministry we are talking about. A picture is worth a thousand words. If the picture is small you can click on it and it should enlarge for you to see it better.
Most missionaries send out letters every other month to keep people updated. We not only send out prayer letters every even month but Cheri and I send out and update via email to those who request to be on our email list on the odd months. This is fast and not as expensive so we can keep everyone up to date on what is going on in the field we are working.
