Many times I have thanked God for the good health of our family.  Having six kids, I believe I could count on two hands how many times I have had to stay home with them.  But it does seem as if when one is sick another joins them.  Tuesday night Savannah started showing signs of a cold, and it went full blown on Wednesday.  She really looked pathetic with red, swollen eyes and runny nose.  Today her eyes are back to normal, but she now has added a slight cough.  No one else has come down with a cold, but Shiloh took a fall today while I was at soulwinning.  He has shown signs of a concussion, so please pray for him.  His face is skinned up as well as his hip, and he is also complaining of pain in his stomach.  Any serious changes would result in us having to go to Kampala as the hospitals here aren’t equipped to deal with head trauma.

Today’s soulwinning took me literally driving through a swamp.  I did not believe we could make it through, but there was no way of turning around or backing up.  Praise the Lord – we didn’t get stuck.  The people were very friendly, and we had a great time.

I think all of the kids are ready to be finished with school – as is mom!  I really need some free days to work at some projects.  I am excited to see that I am actually making progress on planning next year.  This week the kids have talked me into playing Wordigo several times and then following it with our own type of Bananagrams.  I like finding games that inspire learning.  I had ordered some GeoPuzzles for next year that Shiloh & Skyler have really enjoyed fixing.  We are all learning more about geography from putting those together.

The devil is earnestly fighting the church in ways we have not had to deal with before.  Praise the Lord for a wise husband as he deals with these problems.  However, when he leaves in the morning with wrinkles already on his forehead – I know that he has a rough day ahead of him.  But we are also seeing God’s blessings on the work here – namely with our preaching points.  Several months ago, one of the men starting a work in Mbiri was given a vehicle by his brother specifically for doing work in this village.  This last week, the man starting a work in Mbirizi was given a cell phone by a toothless, old lady who has been attending his services.  She said, “Why should I have a phone when my pastor doesn’t!”  Our men didn’t begin these works for the purpose of material gain, but it is such a joy to see them light up with happiness when they realize God is pouring out blessings upon them – not the missionary.

Shiloh needs some attention and Savannah needs put to bed, so I must go.  Thank you for your prayers.
