Jan. Feb. 2008

Weddings, as we have stated in past letters, are a great victory here in Uganda. The culture has all but forced couples to live together without being properly wed. They call it a traditional marriage but it is sinful fornication. They have many strange traditions such as the bride is not to smile or be happy during the wedding showing that she is sorry to leave her family. As you can see it is OK for the man to be happy.

These couples who have chosen to obey the Lord pay a great price to get properly wed. They have to stand against the local culture, families, friends and their former religions to do what is right.

Stephen and Caroline shown here were married in January. Stephen led Caroline to Christ and discipled her. They are serving the Lord together now.

The Assistant Police Commandant Justus was also married to Divine in January with a lot of police ceremony. Those who receive our bi-monthly update via email understand that this was a very interesting wedding to say the least.

If you are not receiving our other bi-monthly update via email and would like to do so send us your email address and we will be happy to put you on the mailing list.

Robert and Annet were married in February. What a sweet couple. Robert was saved while listening to Life Radio and has been called to preach. He will be working closely with me while he is training. He has shown a lot of character and is willing to stand for what is right.
